JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
A machine operator/toolmaker fabricates metal through various means to meet customer needs. Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:
- Precision bench grinding
- Torching with accuracy
- Basic welding (GMAW/wire)
- Brazing
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Fine attention to detail
- Tolerance for occasional hot temperatures
- Required tools/machine experience:
- Bench grinder
- Angle grinder
- Torch
- Welder (GMAW)
- Tape measure
- Experience in one or more of the following preferred:
- Welding
- Machining
- Other metal-fabrication processes
- Basic manual machining experience (lathe and knee mill)
- Precision measuring tools (mics, calipers, indicators)
- Die grinder
- Air arc
- Technical drawing
- Drill press
- Mechanical inclination
