Machine Operator/Toolmaker

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

A machine operator/toolmaker fabricates metal through various means to meet customer needs. Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:

  • Precision bench grinding
  • Torching with accuracy
  • Basic welding (GMAW/wire)
  • Brazing


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Fine attention to detail
  • Tolerance for occasional hot temperatures
  • Required tools/machine experience:
    • Bench grinder
    • Angle grinder
    • Torch
    • Welder (GMAW)
    • Tape measure
  • Experience in one or more of the following preferred:
    • Welding
    • Machining
    • Other metal-fabrication processes
    • Basic manual machining experience (lathe and knee mill)
    • Precision measuring tools (mics, calipers, indicators)
    • Die grinder
    • Air arc
    • Technical drawing
    • Drill press
    • Mechanical inclination
