JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architectural drawing translation: Use AutoCAD to convert architectural drawings into precise, detailed limestone shop drawings.
  • Redline integration: Interpret and apply redline markups from architects or field contractors to update CAD files, ensuring all design changes are captured.
  • Numbered setting drawings: Develop numbered setting drawings for field use, enabling installation teams to identify and place specific limestone pieces correctly on-site.
  • Fabrication tickets: Create detailed shop tickets for fabrication, providing dimensional data and specific instructions for cutting and processing the limestone.
  • Accuracy verification: Conduct thorough quality checks on all drafts to ensure they reflect the most current architectural intent and requirements. Meet the Indiana limestone industry standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Software proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating precision 2D architectural drafts and layouts
  • Blueprint reading: Strong ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings
  • Email and documentation:
    • Manage professional email correspondence with architects, general contractors and masons to facilitate the approval process.
    • Prepare PDF drawing sets for review and track revisions through multiple phases.
  • Client consultation:
    • Participate in design review and coordination meetings to ensure the fabricator's interpretation aligns with the client's intent.
    • Collaborate with project managers to provide updates on timelines.
