American Institute of Architects
The Chicago chapter of the American Institute of Architects sponsors the The Design Excellence Awards, including the Distinguished Building Award, to recognize the best contemporary architecture produced by Chicago-area firms, in Chicago and elsewhere. See AIA Chicago for more information.
Building Stone Institute
The Building Stone Institute sponsors both the Tucker Architectural Awards and the Bybee Prize. The Bybee Prize is presented by BSI in honor of the late James Daniel Bybee to an individual architect for “a body of work executed over time and distinguished by outstanding design and use of natural stone.” The Tucker Award is known as one of the most prestigious architectural design awards in the country. Tucker Awards honor those who have achieved “excellence in design through the incorporation and use of natural stone in their building or landscape project.” See the Building Stone Institute’s Awards page for more information.
